We would highly recommend all hams a
visit to SI9AM, both for tourist and ham radio purposes. Our visit
in july 2006 was very nice. Booking and getting the key was easy. We
found the room very functional with two beds, toilet and some
cooking possibilities. The ham station is installed in a
proffessionally manner, and the signal produced in shortwave bands
seems to be loud and clear. During our visit 360 QSO´s were made.
Alla continents were reached and there were many stations calling.
We also visited the nearby Thai Pavillion and the Dead Falls near
Bispgården, both very interesting.
Thank you for nice arrangements. We are
looking forward to another visit!

| "We spent a weekend to operate the SAC CW contest together with SM3EAE and SM3CVM. We had a lot of fun during the contest and learned that the bands above 20 MHz are mostly closed high in the northern part of Europe. Nevertheless happy with the result of about 1600 QSO´s and 185 multipliers.
Many thanks for loaning us the station and for allowing us to install additional antennas.

| It was great pleasure to visit SI9AM. Even my teenage children enjoyed our stay. The simple but pleasant hotel in the same building as the station offers all the comforts a family needs (including a fantastic kitchen), and the environment is beautiful. Not to speak of the special touch of Thailand right next door. The amateur radio station is well equipped for any kind of activity, be it contesting, DXing, or just a rag chew with friends around the world. A special point for me personally was to have been the first foreign guest operator at SI9AM! Looking forward to a next time there.

Sie waren schon in Schweden? Jetzt gibt es eine spezielle Stelle zu besuchen, nicht weit von Sundsvall: die Amateurfunkstation SI9AM. In der Mitte der touristischen Attraktionen vom Indalsälven-Tal gibt es etwas sehr exotisches: es ist der Thai-Pavilion, der einzige in der Welt ausser Thailand! Nur ein Paar hundert Metern davon liegt die Funkstation. Sie ist wohl ausgerüstet, sei es für Wettbewerb, DX oder kleine Rag-chews mit Freunde überall in der Welt. Das Hotel in demselben Gebäude ist nicht teuer und hat eine phantastische Küche - ihre Familie wird das Ganze geniessen. Persönlich hat es mir gut gefallen, der erste Gastoperator bei SI9AM gewesen zu sein... Bis bald, Heikki F5VGS/OH2TW
Metsien miehet ja harvinaisuuksista kiinnostuneet amatöörit! Poiketkaa SI9AM:llä jos liikutte Sundsvallin seudulla. Loma ja harvinainen amatöörikutsu yhdistyvät vieressä sijaitsevan thai-paviljongin eksoottiseen ilmapiiriin. Amatööriaseman kanssa samassa rakennuksessa on kohtuuhintainen hotelli (todella hyvä keittiö!), jossa perhe viihtyy. Asema on hyvin varustettu kilpailutyöskentelyä, DX-yhteyksiä tai rätinpurentaa varten kaikkialle maailmaan. Itselleni oli mieluista todeta että olin ensimmäinen vieraileva ulkomaalainen operaattori asemalla... Sinne palataan vielä. Heikki F5VGS/OH2TW
Voulez-vous visiter une station radioamateur très spéciale au Grand Nord de l'Europe? Voici SI9AM, pas loin de Sundsvall en Suède. Vous trouverez les charmes touristiques de la vallée de la rivière Indalsälven ainsi que quelque chose d'unique: un pavilion thaï au milieu d'une forêt suèdoise, le seul au monde à l'extérieur de la Thaïlande.Dans le même immeuble que la station radioamateur, il y a un hôtel convenable et pas cher (quelle cuisine de surprise!) que votre famille va apprécier. La station est équipée pour concours aussi bien que DX ou des petits bavardages avec vos amis autour du monde. Au titre personnel, je l'ai trouvé agréable d'avoir été le premier opérateur étranger à la station! À bientôt chez SI9AM. Heikki F5VGS/OH2TW
Det var oerhört skönt att besöka SI9AM. Radioamatör eller turist, fann jag och mina tonåringar det rart att stanna där, med ett enkelt men gott hotell i samma byggnad som stationen (ljuvligt kök!). Omgivningen har mycket att bjuda på, för att inte tala om den unika Thai-paviljongen nära stationen. Stationen är bra utrustad med allt som man behöver för kontest lika väl som DX eller bara några vänliga QSOn runt världen. Personligt tyckte jag mycket om att ha blivit den första utländska gästoperatören på SI9AM... Vi ses igen, Heikki F5VGS/OH2TW
Næste gang Du kør nordpå i Sverige, husk at besøge amatørradiostationen SI9AM, ikke langt fra Sundsvall. I midten af de mange turistattraktioner i Indalsälven-dalen kan man finde i Utanede en thailændsk pavilion (den eneste i verden udenom Thailand), og lige ved den, stationen SI9AM. I den samme bygning med stationen findes det et hyggeligt hotel med rimelige priser (og et fantastiskt køkken) som familien vil nyde sig med. Stationen har alt der behøves for contest, DX eller ragchews over hele verden. Jag selv fandt det rart at have blevet den første udlændske gæstoperatør på SI9AM...  "We enjoyed our stay at SI9AM, which is a perfect site for a vacation combined with amateur-radio and tourism. A scenic location at the banks of Indalsälven river, with an exotic touch of Thailand plus a well-equipped amateur-radiostation with a unique callsign, perfect for DXing or rag-chewing!
